After two weeks off sitting at no. 2, Eminem's Recovery album returned to the top slot on the Billboard 200, shifting another 133,000 copies, helping him earn the most weeks at no. 1 since since Susan Boyle did it with I Dreamed a Dream for six weeks straight in December and January.
According to Billboard.com, Em's new album also sold at least 100,000 copies for its eighth consecutive week, and finally surpassed the 2 million sold mark, making it the second album to accomplish the feat this year. With 2.1 million sold, Recovery is the second-best seller behind Lady Antebellum's Need You Now (2.5 million).
This year, there's only been six albums to hit at least 1 million sales. Usher's Raymond v Raymond is the latest, selling 15,000 this week, bring its to-date sum to just over one million.
After Em, Rick Ross' Teflon Don sold another 30,000 units to put him at no. 7, down two spots from last week. To date, Ross' album has sold 309,000.
Mike Posner's debut album, 31 Minutes to Takeoff, opens at no. 8 this week, selling 29,000 copies, thanks to the lead single "Cooler Than Me," which has been in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the past seven weeks.
Outside the top 10, Drake's Thank Me Later lands at no. 11 with 24,000 copies sold, putting his total at 970,000; and Bun B's Trill O.G. dips to no. 17 with 16,000 sold after debuting at no. 4 last week.

According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Aug. 15) totaled 4.95 million units, down 6% compared to the sum last week (5.26 million) and down 16% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009 (5.88 million).
