Did hip hop get dumber in '09?

So we have been having this conversation for a while now is hip hop dead or did it just get dumber? With rappers like soulja boy, gucci, and oj da juiceman rapping with the worst lyrics in the world and more lyrical rappers like jadakiss and wu-tang not selling as much. Is it because the younger generation wants to see people that look like them in the booth lying about how they sold kilos of coke when you know you never sold any drugs in your life or is it something else? One thing i do know these skinny jean the more you look gay is cool rappers are horrible! Until you see a real lyrical rapper with mad public appeal we are stuck with it. maybe Shyne will come back and kill some shit hahaha ill wait and see
