Foot Binding
In The 10th Century In Chinese culture it was custom to Bind your feet. The smaller the feet the more beautiful you were. As you can see it was a painful precess they would usually start in the winter months because usually the girl's feet were numb from the weather. The process was started when the girl was usually around 3 and 8 years old. I feel bad for these little girls because the process would basically break your foot!
